What's Up!
There are a few updates I can give you guys!

#1 Scott is off to school and is starting his first week of college! :( I'm still crying every night...
#2 Jake and Sam start back at State this week
#3 This is my first FULL week off classes....I started last Thursday and ....well, yea...it's school.
#4 Since Jake and Sam are busy with their first week of school and Scott is off in VA I'm playing this week with a few new friends. Greg will be playing violin and Bobby will be rocking on the drums....I'm excited b/c Scott will be back for Friday and Saturday's worship.

Here's the schedule for the upcoming week. Please pray that the Lord will give us safety as we travel, that He will be glorified in all that we do; we will worship and by that we will lead others in worship to Him!

8.23.08 - Prospect Hill, NC

Skittles Are Good!

Hey everyone,
Just wanted give an update with what's going on behind the scenes of 31None. New and exciting things are taking place.
On January 26 we are holding a concert for our friends and recording it for our demo.
A pretty cool ministry opportunity has opened up but for now I can't say anything about it....just please pray that the Lord will give us direction!
We are currently booking for 08 so stay connected to see when we will be in your area and if we aren't book us!!! We are pumped and ready to play!
Now off to eat some skittles! *yum*

Wait On You - New Song (Listen HERE!)

This song was written during a confusing time in my life. There were a number of things going on that I was just unsure of and through my quiet time the Lord was whispering "Wait, I'm in control and I none of this has taken me by surprise...just wait on Me." I wasn't the only one going through a difficult time. Two of my other friends were having to wait on the Lord and after one night of talking to my wepod (family group) sisters I sat down and wrote this song. Just to give you an update since the song has been written the Lord, as always has been faithful as I wait on Him.
In the bridge it says "not being anxious about anything but guarding my heart right from the start." A wise friend always reminds me to guard my heart and that really didn't start to click until about 4 months ago when I started getting anxious about a few things. The verse Philippians 4:6-7 came to mind "Don't be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer....present your requests to God. And the peace of God...will guard your hearts..." I don't need to be anxious but I must guard my heart.

I can't wait for the whole band to play on this one! The vocals are a little rough...I need Scott and Jake singing with me.

Praise You - New Song (Listen HERE!)

This song is titled Praise You. It was written towards the end of October. During that month my friend and I started to keep each other accountable in certain areas. Seeing the brokenness over their sin made me realize how lightly I took the sin in my own life. In my quiet time I was studying the book of Romans and this only opened my eyes even more of to how filthy I really am. But there is Hope and Salvation through Jesus Christ and this song explains. I'm excited about this song because it was something I have recently been through and I my prayer is this song will meet you right where you are.

Scripture that is used in the song. Make sure you take a look at these verses. I have paraphrased them for you.
Romans 7:15-20 (why do I do the things that I don't want to do.)
Romans 7:24 (What a wretched one I am and only Christ can save me from my death.)
1 Corinthians 10:12-13 (When we think we are standing strong in this battle of life that is when we will probably fall. ...when we are tempted Christ will provide a way out)

Alive!!!

Just wanted to stop by and say yes, we are still alive!! I'm so pumped and ready to record...the Lord has showed me a lot in the past two months and I've been able to explain what He has taught me through three songs. We are planning to start recording as soon as finals end...which is next week! So please stay connected because we are so ready for you to hear our new stuff!!

I finished writing two new songs on Tuesday and I'm so PUMPED!!!! The one song titled "Praise You" has been in the works for about one month because there was so much I wanted to say and I couldn't figure out how to fit it all in. The second song is "All For You" this song was written in like no time. I hoping that this one will be a rockin' loud song!! :D
I'll be recording a sample of each song on Saturday so stay connected!!!!
